The Citizen Eco-Drive and The Sock Drawer

How long does a Citizen Eco-Drive watch run in the dark?  Let me tell you a little story.  Once upon a time, maintenance men were coming to our apartment to install some equipment.  Out of an abundance of caution, I quickly stashed all of my watches the night before.  Unfortunately, I didn't keep close track of exactly where I stashed my watches.  Even worse, one of the watches that I stashed was the new black ion plated Citizen Eco-Drive that my wife bought me for our anniversary.  It's never cool to lose a watch and it's even less cool to lose an anniversary watch.

My Citizen Eco-Drive

I tried to play it cool as I quietly searched for my Citizen Eco-Drive Weeks drug by!  It was gone for at least a month.  Fortunately, it turned up in the very back of one of my sock drawers.  Amazingly, it was still ticking!

I shouldn't have been surprised.  According to Citizen, a fully charged Eco-Drive watch should run in light or dark for about six months.  You can read my full review here:
