My Lorus Watch Collection Continues

Last week we covered a recently rediscovered Lorus watch.  But I have two in my collection.  Here is the other vintage Lorus watch that I own.  This one is very minimalist in it's approach, but offers a sleek metallic look in a compact package.

This Lorus is almost space-age looking and it makes for a great bang around watch.  The one featured below is unusual because it has a face that changes color from blue to silver to green.

My Long Lost Lorus Watch: Vintage or Old?

When you have as many watches as I do, you have to rotate your collection around so that you have new things to wear.  I recently turned up this really cool old Lorus Sports watch that is great for banging around on the weekends.  I've probably had this Lorus watch for twenty years.  I'm not sure if it's vintage or old.  I'm not even sure if I'm vintage or old.  But, it is a cool casual watch.

Lorus Sports Watch - Corvette Not Included

This watch uses luminous materials nicely to make it easy to tell time at night.  It also has a small case size by today's standards.  After approximately twenty years of ownership, my Lorus runs strong.  I just have to replace a battery every couple of year.

Of course, that reliability is no surprise.  Lorus is a Seiko watch brand sold by their dealer networks in Europe, Canada, South Africa, Fiji, and Oceania.  So, if you are American, you aren't likely to see many Lorus watches.  That allows you the chance to obtain affordable exclusivity and, thanks to the miracle of the internet, you can safely order new Lorus watches like these online.

Relic Multifunction "Moon Phase" Men's Watch

When you have nice watches, you naturally want to protect them.  I chose to protect my Relic watches by keeping them in their storage tins.  Of course, when you keep them in the tins, you tend not to grab them first when you choose a watch in the morning.  But, when you do grab and open a random watch tin, it is like getting a surprise on Christmas morning.  Recently I rediscovered this "Moon Phase" watch by Relic.

I like this stainless steel Relic watch because it has a complication that shows the sun rise and set or the moon rise and set depending on the time of day.  This is something you'd expect from a high end European watch.  However, Relic makes this high end look available at a relatively affordable price point.  Y

I enjoy wearing this sharp looking relic watch to work.  It looks like a million bucks!  Unfortunately, I couldn't find model ZR15557 on Amazon.  However, if you'd like a similarly sophisticated moon phase watch, check out this awesome Bulova Moon Phase Watch.  There is something about that tuning fork logo . . .

The Casio Edifice line of watches is famous for being some of Casio's most high tech and innovative watches.  They can run into the hundreds of dollars.  But, there is one Casio Edifice model that anyone can afford.  You can find the Men's Casio Edifice (Model EF305-1AV) at fine retailers like Kohls and Walmart.

You can now find my complete review here:

Zoo York Men's Watch Review

My new Zoo York watch has quickly become one of my favorite bang around watches.  It's bright, it's interesting, and it's not overly expensive.

Here are some pictures of my watch out and about town:

This Zoo York fits right in at IKEA.

Overall, this Zoo York watch grabs the spotlight no matter where it may be.
