Watches are one of the few fashion accessories men enjoy. They are a practical means of self-expression. They also convey a perception of social status. Thus, when it comes to watches, a luxury look and feel can be just as important as practical function. That's why this Armitron analog watch with tachymeter markings and sub-dials caught my eye on a recent stroll through Walmart. It has the look of a luxury brand timepiece.
When I see an Armitron watch like this with a great look, nice features, and an affordable price tag, it really makes me wonder what the advantages of a more prestigious name brand would really be.
The Watch Dude is a blog dedicated to men's timepieces. This blog typically covers affordable watch brands from Armitron to Wenger. However, interesting watches and the brands we dream of are also covered. Thanks for sharing my enthusiasm for watches!

An Attractive Armitron at Walmart
I noticed a cool looking Armitron watch in the case at Walmart. It appears to have a very sophisticated looking rendition of the classic black canvas or nylon strap. Of course, the strap is in "tactical black" the official color of manly men everywhere. The label says it is made of steel, that it's ionic plated, and that it's water resistant to 165 feet. It's a cool looking watch and a good deal at $45, but there's no counter help at Walmart in the wee hours of the morning.
Here's another amazing looking silver-tone Armitron that I found at an affordable price. [This one ended up joining my collection and as of 2024 remains a favorite watch.]
