Timex Under $60 - The Timex Essex

Timex offers some surprises in their vast catalog of watch offerings. If you venture away from the Expeditions, Weekenders, and even The Waterbury Collection, you'll find some interesting and affordable watches that you don't see very often. One such watch is the Timex Essex. The watch has a rich looking bezel design and a readable, practical dial with dauphin hands.  With a stainless steel bracelet, it costs nearly $100.  But, with what looks like a leather and fabric strap, it costs just over half that price.  Most importantly, it hits our under $60 price point. It's a big watch with a 46mm diameter silver-tone brass case, 50-meter water resistance, a protected crown, and a nicely etched stainless steel caseback.

If you've read my previous post on whether Timex was trying to draw us a map (available here on this blog), you may recognize that this watch is from the Timex Essex Avenue collection.

To me, this watch is an excellent example of the value that Timex can deliver. It looks like a much more expensive watch and it has nice design touches on the crown, buckle, and caseback. If you'd like to check the Timex Essex out, use my Amazon affiliate link here.
