Sharp Watch Shout Out: Venezianico Redentore Avventurina 40

I am seriously in lust with the watches of a relatively new watch brand based in Italy:  Venezianico.  Established in 2017, they have five collections that cover sport, dive, racing, skeleton, and dress watch styles. But, the watch that has really captured my imagination is called the Venezianico Redentore Avventurina. It has a dial made of a fine Venetian glass material called Aventurine. Glass infused with flecks of copper, Aventurine looks like a field of stars against a black sky. My screen capture from their website doesn't do this watch justice.  You'll just need to poke around on their website:  https://us.venezianico.com/

The brand has adopted the medieval crosses typically found in the architecture of Venetian churches and cathedrals as its logo. Prices are competitive with brands like Nivada Grenchen and Movado. I think these watches are amazing looking and the prices are attainable for mere mortals.

A Professional Look From Pulsar: A simple dress watch

A Look at my Pulsar Day-Date Watch

Sometimes a man needs a watch that looks good for an office job.  This Pulsar fits the bill precisely.  It's neither cheap nor pretentious.  It's also a trusted brand from the Seiko company.

Here's another picture of my Pulsar when I was dressed up and on my way to important business.  It's a great watch when you want a professional look without distraction.

[Update 2024:  You don't see too many Pulsar watches these days and even fewer with the clean lines and simplicity of my original.  This silver Pulsar (Model PS9683X1) comes the closest.

[Update July 2025: One thing I've noticed about my old Pulsar is that it looks like many of the classic watches enthusiast post photos of on X. It's just a classic straight-forward watch design. As of 2023, Seiko quietly discontinued the Pulsar brand. If you are looking for one, they may still be available from some Walmart.com sellers and on online auction sites.]
